How We Rate Sweepstakes Casinos
The facts we collect
For every casino we record the same fields: operator, welcome offer, free coins with no purchase, daily bonus, playthrough, minimum purchase, minimum redemption (gift card and cash), redemption methods, stated payout time, ID verification requirements, minimum age, excluded states, the free mail-in entry method, and dated player-report figures. Each field carries a source and a last-verified date.
Where facts come from
We rank sources in this order:
- Primary legal sources: statutes, bill pages, attorney general and regulator releases, court filings.
- The operator’s own sweepstakes rules, terms of service and help pages.
- Reputable industry news and review sites, named and dated.
- Player-report aggregates such as Trustpilot, always with the date and sample size.
Our reviews are built from published terms, official documents and dated secondary sources. When an operator’s own pages block our checks, the review says so and names the source we used instead. When sources disagree, we show both.
The catch rule
Every review has a “The catch” box, and it is never empty. Lawsuits are described as allegations, not findings. Negative findings stay up even when a casino is an affiliate partner.
Why there are no star scores yet
A star rating is only honest if the weights behind it are public. We have not published a scoring rubric, so we do not publish scores. When we do, the weights will be on this page first.
How rankings are ordered
Each ranking page states its rule and uses a published number from our data: stated payout time, minimum redemption, or, for best by category, the specific figure that decides each category. Casinos that do not publish a figure are listed last. Payment never changes the order.
Dates and corrections
Every state row and review shows “Last verified”. When we correct something, we update the page, change the date and add it to the changelog.
